By eliminating caffeine and lowering sugar intake to the recommended daily amount for 30 days, by small and simple steps, what will he accomplish?

The film is directed by and follows filmmaker Tucker T Dansie on his 30 day test.

ABOUT THE FILMMAKER

Mr. Dansie, followed in his famous still photographer fathers footsteps by picking up a video camera and using the same principles taught to him as a kid. 

Known for his award-winning work on music videos & the creation of the LDS Churches 'Mormon Messages' Internet campaign. Tucker has over 20 years experience in filmmaking & post-production and over 0 years experience in the healthcare & healthy foods market.

Julie M. Metos, PhD, MPH, RD is Assistant Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Nutrition & Integrative Physiology at the University of Utah. Her research interests focus on child and adolescent obesity prevention. She completed her doctorate at the University of Utah in the Division of Public Health.  Ms. Metos received her MPH in Public Health Nutrition from the University of California, Berkeley and attended the University of Utah for undergraduate studies, receiving a BS in Nutrition and a BFA in Ballet.

Julie M. Metos, PhD, MPH, RD

is Assistant Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Nutrition & Integrative Physiology at the University of Utah. Her research interests focus on child and adolescent obesity prevention. She completed her doctorate at the University of Utah in the Division of Public Health.  Ms. Metos received her MPH in Public Health Nutrition from the University of California, Berkeley and attended the University of Utah for undergraduate studies, receiving a BS in Nutrition and a BFA in Ballet.

Benjamin Bikman, Ph. D Benjamin Bikman earned his Ph.D. in Bioenergetics and was a postdoctoral fellow with the Duke-National University of Singapore in metabolic disorders. Currently, his professional focus as a scientist and professor (Brigham Young University) is to better understand chronic modern-day diseases, with special emphasis on the origins and consequences of obesity and diabetes. He frequently publishes his research in peer-reviewed journals and presents at international science meetings.

He completed his Pediatric Residency at the University of Virginia in 1998 then stayed for an additional year as Chief Resident of Pediatrics. He then joined Winchester Pediatric Clinic in 1999. He is board certified in Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. RECOMMENDED DAILY AMOUNT will make its festival debut on March 3rd, 2017 in the LDS Film Festival in Orem, Utah. This will not be a competition festival for RDA but more of a first screening for feedback and review. I would love to have people see it on the big screen and see reaction and receive feedback from everyone that is interested in this exciting new project.
